Performance characteristics:
The titanium based lead dioxide electrode has the characteristics of high oxygen evolution overpotential, strong oxidation ability, good corrosion resistance, good conductivity, and the ability to withstand large currents during electrolysis in aqueous solution. It has good chemical stability, high hardness, but poor mechanical strength and brittleness, and performs well in sulfuric acid medium. Used as an insoluble electrode in the electrolysis industry.
Application industry
1、 Inorganic chemical industry
1. Halogenated salt PbO2: The electrode has been widely used in the halogenated salt industry for a long time. Using PbO2 electrode as anode and electrochemical technology to synthesize HC10, the conversion rate and current efficiency are relatively high; Meanwhile, the production of oxalates and iodates is also a relatively mature technology. In the 1980s, PbO2 electrodes were used as anodes to oxidize HC10, resulting in high conversion rates and current efficiency.
2. Electrolytic electroplating of PbO2 electrodes is resistant to H2SO4. Corrosion, suitable for extracting metals in sulfate electrolytes such as zinc, copper, Ni, and c0. The anode potential of PbO2 electrode is higher than that of other electrodes, with unique oxidation ability and good corrosion resistance. It can be used as an anode material in electrolysis processes, such as electrolytic manufacturing of chromic acid and perchlorate, plating chromium and hard cadmium in strong acidic solutions such as chromic acid, and manufacturing Wuxi thin steel plate wire in the steel industry
2、 Organic chemical industry
In the preparation of halogen mimicry, using PbO2 electrode instead of platinum electrode has an ideal effect, with a current efficiency of 80% to 90%, a conversion rate of 98% to 99%, and a product purity of 99.5% to 99.9%. Compared with traditional methods, using PbO2 electrodes to prepare isobutyric acid through electrochemical oxidation can significantly reduce production costs and environmental pollution. At the same time, electrodes can be used for electrolytic oxidation in acidic solutions to synthesize organic compounds.
3、 Industrial wastewater treatment
Titanium based PbO2 electrodes have significant effects on the treatment of difficult to biodegrade organic pollutants, biotoxic pollutants, and high-temperature organic wastewater.
The high electrolysis efficiency of PbO electrode is mainly due to its high oxygen evolution potential. Under anodic polarization, the surface of PbO2 electrode is prone to generate · OH, which will react with nitrobenzene migrating to the electrode surface. The lead titanium dioxide electrode exhibits good electrocatalytic activity for the degradation of phenol, and has good prospects for environmental protection applications. Meanwhile, the PbO2 electrode also exhibits good stability and service life.
